1 Pitch = 1 Tent, Caravan or Motor Home. Please book the number of pitches you require.
Do you have a CONTINENTAL CARAVAN? Please tell us at time of booking. Sorry but we are unable to take Twin Axle Caravans.
All customers are asked to report to Reception/Shop on arrival. Pitches are available from 1 p.m. and latest arrival is 9 p.m.
On the day of arrival. Pitches must be vacated by 11 a.m. on the day of departure. Unless by prior arrangement.
Early Summer & Late Summer Seasons - there is a minimum of 2 nights on all weekends.
Spring Bank Holiday (1st weekend) + Summer Season, there is a minimum of 3 nights.
During Winter ( from 18th October 2018 till 31 march 2019 ) we do not take Electric Tents due to ground conditions .
Cancellation Policy - Less than 30 days before arrival, is loss of all monies paid. (No refund). Over 30 days prior to arrival, is loss of deposit only. A deposit equates to £50 per week, per pitch booked. You are strongly advised to take out holiday insurance cover in the event of cancellation. Please note deposits are not refundable (NO REFUNDS Due to weather). All bookings are non transferable
Arrivals -We are looking forward to meeting you at Pitton Cross Caravan Park.
Arrival are from 1pm on the day you arrive.
Pitches must be vacated by 11 a.m. on the day of departure.
When you arrive please check in at reception.
If you arrive and the reception is closed, please follow the instructions by the shop door.
The following day, please check into the reception after 9.15am where you will given your tent tag and windscreen sticker
All pitches are allocated on arrival. Pitches are available from 1 p.m. and latest arrival is 9 p.m. on the day of arrival. If you arrive after your due arrival date, you still cannot check in or pitch up until 1 p.m. on the day you arrive. Please park within the pitch markings. All Caravans must pitch tail to hedge. Any deviation and you will be asked to move your tent, caravan or Motor home within the pitch boundaries. Please ensure that you display your car stickers and tent tags clearly at all times. We cannot guarantee adjacent pitches. We reserve the right to refuse entry to the park whether booked or not and to ask anyone to leave at our discretion. Refund of the appropriate proportion of fees paid in advance shall be sufficient discharge of our liabilities.
Pitching Up Guide - Please pitch between the 2 white posts. Caravans pitch with tow ball to the road, this includes continental caravans (this is due to fire regulations), leaving at least 1 meter besides the caravan for water and waste containers. Motor-homes & Campervans please leave something on your pitch if you go out, to show it’s in use. We work like a car park, if it’s empty, it’s vacant. With tents please ensure that your guidelines do not encroach on to a neighbour’s even if you are part of a group!
Cars – please park cars near the road side of the pitch – parking parallel to the road. To ensure that pitches stay in good condition for the next guest.
Our Camping Terminology -
We charge by the berth size of the tent, not per person.
- 1 berth tent is a 1 man/person tent, for 1 person.
- 2-3 berth tent is a 2-3 man/person tent, max 3 people.
- 4-6 berth tent is a 4-6 man tent/person, max 6 people.
- 7-10 berth tent is a 7-10 man/person tent, max 10 people.
- Campervan is VW T5* size vehicle
- Motorhome is classed as anything larger than above*. Maximum length of vehicle is 10 metres/33 foot.
**Shelter tents, Utility tents, and Gazebo (with or without sides) are classed as the same thing. Max size 3m x 3m.
***Pup Tents: maximum of 2 children per pup tent, under the age of 15 yrs. Maximum of 2 pup tents per pitch. The pup tents must not exceed the size guide of 7 ft x 5 ft (213 cm x 152 cm). If they do exceed the size given then the pup tent will be charged at full price of a normal tent.
General Booking Rules All bookings are taken on these conditions listed above and below.
A booking will not be taken without a deposit or full payment. A deposit of £50 per week, part of a week for each pitch booked during winter, spring and early summer seasons only. Spring Bank Holiday + Summer season, online bookings and bookings within 14 days of arrival are required to pay in full. Bookings will be confirmed on receipt of a deposit or full payment. Default on the deposit will invalidate the booking. Deposits are non-refundable and you are liable for the outstanding balance for the period booked. Any additional nights can be booked subject to availability.
Online Bookings - Only one pitch at a time can be booked online, if you need to book more than one pitch please telephone our reception on 01792 390593. Full payment is required at time of booking.
Group Bookings - Group Bookings are at our discretion. We are unable to take group bookings of more than 3 family pitches due to the layout of our site.
Any group booking we would need confirmed numbers of pitches and full payment required at the time of booking.
We cannot guarantee adjacent pitches as all pitches are allocated on arrival. All Groups must stop at the Reception/Shop before being shown down to the pitch, regardless of where their friends are.
If you wish to bring a Duke of Edinburgh, walking, climbing or surfing groups then please contact us directly to discuss any requirements. No Hen or Stag groups.
At Pitton Cross Caravan Park we have a well stocked shop and for this reason, please be aware that we do not accept Supermarket deliveries here.
